SUMMARY:2022 Hike-a-Thon
DESCRIPTION:Woodlands Conservancy’s 2022 Hike-A-Thon is an effort to raise funds and awareness for local land conservation.  Register here.\n\n \n\nThis is your chance to get outside in nature alone or with your like-minded friends to give back to your community by walking\, hiking and/or running a marathon\, 26.2 miles\, at your own pace in the month October.\nWhat is the Hike-a-Thon? Find out more here\nDuring the Hike-a-Thon\, registered attendees will walk\, hike\, or run a marathon (26.2 miles) at their own pace over the course of October 2022. You can do it a mile at a time\, or all at once\, set your own pace and pick your own location!\n\nYou can hike the Bottomland Trail (5.43 mi.) at Woodlands Trail less than 5 times and complete your challenge or choose a variety of places you like to visit.\n\nHikers\, walkers and runners will have from October 1\, 2022 through October 31\, 2022 to complete  the challenge.\nHow do I get involved? Register here.\nRegistration is $35. Registration is open until October 15\, 2022.\nWhat do you get for registering?\n\n 	Your registration fee will fund land protection and restoration.\n 	You will receive an Individual Woodlands Conservancy Annual Membership.\n 	All registrants who complete the Marathon\, will receive the above plus a Hike-a-Thon – May the Forest Be With You hat.\n 	The top 5 highest milers will receive the above plus choice of a Save-Our-Sponge t-shirt or a Parks-For-All Hydro-flask.\n 	The top highest miler will receive the above plus a set of 4 Mignon Faget Palmetto Glassware.\n\n***The first 20 people to register receive a chance to win a set of 4 Palmetto Glasses!***\n \nSupport Forested Wetlands & Sponsor This Event\n\n\nShow your support for Woodlands Conservancy\, your local nonprofit\, 501 (c) 3 that is preserving and restoring vital wetlands that protect homes and businesses while providing a free opportunity for community members to get out and connect with nature.\n\nSponsorship provides you with increased visibility among Greater New Orleans residents as an organization dedicated to the long-term sustainability of our region. DESCRIPTION:Come Help us Kick-off the 2022 Hike-a-thon! \nJoin us in the woods for hiking\, networking\, and fun nature activities for folks of all ages. \nWhether you have pre-registered for the Hike-a-Thon\, want to register at the Kickoff\, or just want to join us in the woods to reconnect with nature and learn about our work\, we would love for you to join us at Woodlands Preserve as we kickoff this year’s Hike-a-Thon. \nWe will gather at 9 am for some mindfulness and networking.  You will have the opportunity to join experts on guided hikes throughout the day\, or hang out in the meadow to make art\, enjoy the outdoors and network with others.
