SUMMARY:Spring Immersion Forest Therapy Series (3-Day)
DESCRIPTION:Come immerse yourself in the forest as the seasons transition from winter to spring at Woodlands Preserve. The perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate after Mardi Gras! \n\n\n\nSpring Immersion Dates: \n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, February 28th\, 10am-12pm\n\n\n\nSaturday\, March 7th\, 10am-12pm\n\n\n\nSaturday\, March 14th\, 10am-12pm\n\n\n\n\nConnect with nature and with others in a group led by Woodlands Conservancy board member and certified forest therapy guide Eleni Sallinger. Forest therapy\, also known as forest bathing\, is a gentle practice of connecting with the natural world through your senses. This simple act of immersing oneself in nature without distraction is emerging as an effective way to improve health and well-being. Benefits of this highly accessible practice include lowering stress\, blood pressure\, and heart rate\, while improving mood and focus. Guided forest therapy walks can also foster an increased sense of belonging by strengthening our relationship with ourselves\, our community\, and our environment. This immersion will help you slow down and connect deeply with the land while experiencing the transition from winter to spring. It consists of three sessions on three consecutive Saturdays; it is okay if you can’t make every session. Each session will include invitations to nurture your connection to the land\, time for quiet reflection\, and optional sharing\, ending with a tea ceremony in the forest. \n\n\n\nTo register\, visit: tinyurl.com/springforesttherapyLearn more at: restoreforesttherapy.com \n\n\n\nAccessibility: We will walk very slowly on flat trails with some uneven terrain. There will be many opportunities to stop and rest. \n\n\n\nAudience: This walk is geared towards adults. \n\n\n\nInclement weather policy: Participants will be notified via email at least one day in advance if the walk needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather\, and will be notified by phone if it must be cancelled with less than one day’s notice. Walk will be rescheduled in case of cancellation.
